The proposed Valenzuela Sewerage System aims to provide sewerage system for the entire Valenzuela City. It is comprised of three stages with a total coverage area of 4,800 hectares. This project will improve the water quality of the Meycauayan – Marilao – Obando River System as well as reduction of pollution in the Tullahan River. The conveyance and treatment system will be constructed and operated in accordance with the DAO 2016-08 effluent standards.
The scope of the project is the Stage 1 of the entire Valenzuela Sewerage System. The coverage area is 1,371 hectares with a target population of 500,000 residences.
The proposed 30km sewer network will intercept wastewater flows from the existing drainage and creeks and convey to the proposed sewage treatment plant and the proposed sewage treatment plant will be constructed at Barangay of Marulas. It can accept an average sewage flow of 60 MLD with a peak flow of 89 MLD.
